Juan Grabois, lawyer, educator, and popular activist, expressed his support for former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner ahead of the verdict to be issued today in the 'Vialidad' case, where she is accused of alleged embezzlement of funds in public works in the province of Santa Cruz. Grabois stated that Cristina "is not corrupt at all" and that they will not allow her to be imprisoned.
In his statements, Grabois questioned the impartiality of the Comodoro Py courts, stating that "they favor whoever pays the most." Under the theme "CFK, real power, and the judicial mafia: a case study of lawfare," he criticized both the government of Mauricio Macri and that of Javier Milei, suggesting that justice could have acted in their favor because the previous president, Alberto Fernández, did not carry out the promised judicial reform.
The lawyer also highlighted the importance of not normalizing injustice and denounced a corrupt judicial environment, labeling it as a "brothel-like atmosphere." He also pointed out that the current lawfare involves the defunding of universities and judicial inaction in cases of abuse of power.
At an event where Manuela d'Ávila, a member of the Brazilian Communist Party, and Juan Martin Mena, Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the province of Buenos Aires, also participated, Grabois compared the situation of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner with that of former Brazilian president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, stating that "what happened with Lula is not going to happen."
